Signe Emdal is a textile designer from Denmark. She finished her MA in textile design from Designkolen Kolding-DK, where she specialized in knitted materials and concept development. There Signe was rewarded graduation-scholarship for “extremely high technical knowledge and unique pattern/color-style.” She has her own knit fashion label EMDAL which makes high quality knitwear, knitted fabrics and knit art. (She says herself she’s a total knit-nerd and we think it’s true in a way, but she’s definitely the most stylish nerd we’ve met so far!!) There are always some stories around Signe’s designs, inspired by culture, nature or something else. Signe spent two years snowboarding in Switzerland and likes to cruise on her longboard in Kobenhagen in the summertime. Signe’s work combines textile design, fashion design, traditional handkraft, storytelling, art and illustration in knitted sweaters, and Nikita is extremely stoked on working with her since she is on of our favorite designers and sweet person as well.
